Making to learn

Making is in our name! And “making” isn’t just STEAM – and STEAM isn’t just coding and robotics. Every provincial curriculum across Canada has it – albeit named differently in each province – and emphasizes the value of learning through hands-on making.  Defining...

Why Isn’t My Child “Extending”?

Just in time for Parent Teacher conferences TL; DR: The Proficiency Scale is about measuring growth, complexity of understanding, and application – not performance. Think of it as leveling up in a game: once you 100% – reach extending on – a level (getting all of the...

What Our Families are Saying

Absolutely amazing camp, my son loved this so one !!!! He was engaged and learning the whole time and couldn’t wait to go back each day! HIGHLY recommend this camp, it’s well worth it and the instructors/facilitators are so kind and helpful. We will be back!!!!

Amazing place for kids! The variety of activities kept my child entertained for hours. The staff is friendly, and the facility is very clean and safe. Highly recommend!

As a mother of a 12-year-old, I’m thrilled with his first camp experience with Minimakers at the Vancouver Aquarium. He loved the marine mammal conservation lessons, exciting biodiversity talks, and hands-on wet lab experiments. The 4D theater and outdoor fun in Stanley Park were also highlights. He came home every day excited and full of new knowledge. Minimakers made this summer unforgettable with a perfect mix of learning and fun!
